Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you request a facility audit, we collect the facility address you give us, your name, your email, your phone number and your message. If you pick an address on the map, we also keep its map coordinates and, where one is on record, the building's approximate footprint from OpenStreetMap.

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, company, email and message, plus your phone number and facility location if you choose to give them.

Our host records basic technical data for each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We do not use it to identify you.

How we use it

• To respond to your request and schedule a facility audit or a conversation.
• To prepare for a site visit using the facility details you gave us.
• To keep a record of the request in our business email.
• To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Who handles it

A small number of service providers run the site and deliver your request:

• Vercel hosts the site and runs the form handler.
• Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Our business email provider stores the messages we receive.
• On the facility audit page, your browser contacts mapping services directly so the map can find your site. OpenFreeMap supplies the map images. Photon, run by komoot, and the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder look up the address you type. Public OpenStreetMap servers look up the building outline. These services receive what you type or the location you pick, along with your IP address, and some of them operate servers outside the United States.

Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not set cookies. The facility audit saves your answers in your browser's session storage so a refresh does not lose your progress. That storage stays on your device and clears when you close the tab. See the Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions in our business email while they are useful for your request and any work that follows, and longer only where business or legal records require it. Our host keeps technical logs for a limited period.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@steelsquare.co and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Security

Submissions travel over an encrypted connection. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
